Established in 2020 the network aims to support the music scenes of both cities to learn and thrive, promoting the exchange of ideas and opportunities. This year’s programme will provide a grant of €8,000 to each of the six appointed musicians to facilitate the creation of new work and creative partnerships. Audiences around the country will have opportunities to enjoy the new material created during each of the residencies through live concert performances and online content. Research in music and human computer interaction is also useful in areas where one’s whole body plays a key role in the interaction. This is because many musical activities involve coordinating the whole body, in real-time, often collaborating with other people, while dealing with significant perceptual and cognitive demands.
